Thanks, Patriotic Style

Good Morning!  I am afraid Mo and Jo have gone missing, if found PLEASE return! (plus I have no time to play  *sigh*).

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Oh My Stars, hosted by one of my BFFs, the ever generous and talented Barbara CampbellSimon Says Monday, Thanks and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I used the Stamp It Big 2 set from Gina K Designs.   Ink in Real Red.  The dies are by MFT, Sun, Moon And Stars.   The stars are cut from glitter paper and popped up on 3D dots.  Splattered a little bit of craft paint in blue all over background using my trusty (old) toothbrush.  Punched 2 holes to insert ribbon and tied in knot.  Corner Rounder.

Moooooooo  Joooooooo come home you are desperately needed!

Have a wonderful weekend.

PTI May 2015 Blog Hop

Good Morning!

I am once again participating in the monthly Papertrey Ink Blog Hop, how fun is that?

Here is the Inspirational Photo for May 2015.

I used the stamp and die sets, Uncorked.  I knew I wanted to make some pretty wine bottles, we had just taken a day trip out to The Truro Vineyards Of Cape Cod  where our daughter, Lori and her handsome man Tim, will be getting married this Fall!

I used inks in Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise and Tuxedo Black.

I cut 2 Vellum wine glasses out and placed them over my sentiment.

A gold Sakura Glaze Pen was added for accents.

What I really wish is to have bottles in these colors and make sea glass out of them......I am sure it would only take 20-30 years.....that is true, I looked it up!  :)

Thanks so much for popping by!

CHEERS!

Hello Tag & Card

Good Morning!  Okay, so far I have made a card.....a tag....so now it's time for another tag ON a card.  Love that!

This will be entered  into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Stencil It.

I used the beautiful Penny Black stamp set, Blooming Tags, picking the Rose image.  This is such a beautiful set!  Stamped and hand cut the tag out and colored with Watercolor Pencils.  My background was created by using the Honeycomb Cover Plate by Papertrey Ink.  I cut a stencil out from very thick card stock, almost like chip board.  Then sponging inks in Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight I created the stenciled background.  It was quite bright so I softened the look by adding a layer of Vellum over the entire panel.

Stamped the mini tag and sentiment and hand cut that out as well, tied it on using a little Jute Twine.  Black and White Gingham Ribbon tied through the large tag.  Popped it all up using 3D Pop Dots.  I also added a Fancy Flourish die by MFT, one piece that I cut in 2 to add to the top and bottom.   MFT Notched Border on inside for accent.

I quite love it.....is that okay to say?

Hope you all are enjoying this long weekend.

I Do! Tag

Hello Again!  Back with a little Tag I made.

This will be entered into  the Challenges at Mod Squad, Positively Negative, hosted by my dear, wildly, talented friend, Lisa Babitz,     Stamp TV, First Date, also hosted by another dear, wildly, talented friend, Joyce Erb    and at  Simon Says Monday, X...Y...Z...

Never knew I could put so much on one tag lol.  The negative was created by using an MFT Fancy Flourish die, which was cut out of the pink mini honey comb Designer Paper, by My Minds Eye, Kiss & Tell and layered over red card stock.  My 1st Date are the Lara's Crafts Alphabet Tiles.  And my XYZ is quite obvious.    I used a Large Tag Stamp by Stampendous, stamped and hand cut, then layered with Designer Papers.

Lots of fun and fabulous accents to doll this 'shipping tag' up!  Ribbons and Jute Twine, Pearl Strands, Adhesive Pearl,  Rhinestone Circle, Pretty Lace and a Hand Made With Love Heart Charm.   The stamp set is I Do! by Gina K Designs, added to a small hand cut flag banner.

I am sure I will find some little gift to attach this too.....my daughter's wedding is only 17 weeks away.....but who's counting?!?!

Thanks so much for stopping by, appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Dare To Dream

Good Morning!  It seems like it's been forever since I have been here.  Work is crazy busy and the gardens have been taking up a bit more of my time, but I love that of course!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Fussy Cutting.

I used the Daydreamer set from Papertrey Ink......yup, still in love with this one!  Designer Paper from Authentique, Gathering Collection.  Inks in Tangerine Tango, Timber Brown, Old Olive and Wild Wasabi.  Spellbinders Scallop Circle, Sizzix Decorative Corner #7, Corner Tab Punch, and MFT Open Scallop dies used.

Fussy cut out the sentiment and sponged the edges with Tempting Turquoise ink.  Also hand cut mini tag added with Jute Twine.  Colored Seam Bind Ribbon with a Copic Marker to match.  A little glitter added to the center of each flower with a Sakura Glitter Pen.  Enamel Brads.

There may be 9 layers here, depending on how you count.......delicious!

Hope you all are well this long weekend.  I will be doing my Pig Pen impersonation all weekend long.  Life is good.....knock on wood!

Enjoy~~

Hello Beautiful Flowers....

.....it's been so long!

Hello again!  So happy you have stopped by!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Simon Says Products.

I used the Simon Says stamp set Summer Garden!  How appropriate!  :)  I wanted the beauty of these images to shine through, so I randomly stamped different flowers and the ferns.  Then I colored them with Copic Markers and added Stickles to each center.

No ribbons.  No brads.  No accents.

Just FLOWERS and the Hello, Beautiful sentiment.  LOVE it!

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Enjoy~~

Make Today Wonderful

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the MFT Sketch Challenge.

I chose to rotate the Sketch.

I used the stamp sets, Simply Fabulous Sayings and Sweet Roses and the Blueprints #12 and Bracket Edge Duo die sets, all by MFT.  Spellbinders Scallop Circle die as well.  I stamped the leaves in Wild Wasabi Ink.  Designer Papers by S.E.I, Dill Blossom.  I made 2 little chipboard leaves, top right.

I don't know why I went with such a Fall theme, probably because I do love that Designer Paper.  lol

Thanks so much for stopping by, appreciate you doing so!

Birthday Wishes With Stencil

Hello!

What lovely weather we have been having.  Each day you can notice one more leaf unfurling, one more flower blooming, one more bird singing......it's just magical!  Ahhhhh!

Today's card will be entered into Challenges at Stamp TV, Stencil Me Pretty, Simon Says Wednesday, Inspiration Color Swatch and Mod Squad, Mix It Up (to use stamps from at least 2 different sets).

Simon Says Wednesday Color Swatch

I used 2 stamp sets from Gina K Designs, Signs Of Spring and Stamp It Big!  The fern stencil was placed on a center panel, trimmed with border stamps and covered with Vellum to soften the look.  Inks in Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Pool Party,Tempting Turquoise, and Tuxedo Black.

I love that cluster of leaves, I use it a lot for backgrounds and accents.  Here it is stamped in Pink Pirouette on white and blue card stock.  It also looks so lovely stamped in Antique Linen Distress Ink.  A bit of pink and white gingham ribbon.  Sentiment panel popped up on 3D dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Blooming Tags

Good Morning!   What a wonderful week we have been having.  Mother's Day, my Mom's 85th Birthday, sunshine and warmth and flower shopping.  It has been FABULOUS!

Today's card was created for the Penny Black Challenge, Dies And Punches.  I was lucky enough to win a Curtain Call Challenge that Penny Black was sponsoring.  I received a $25 gift certificate.  I bought this stamp set, Blooming Tags and this lovely die, Heart String.

I first stamped the beautiful floral tag image and hand cut it out.  Colored it with Copic Markers and added accents with a Sakura Glaze Pen.  Punched a hole in the top to add my ribbon through.  Stamped a smaller tag, added the sentiment and cut that out as well.  The large tag was also layered on black, white and lime green card stocks.

Background is a Hexagon Cover Plate Die by Papertrey Ink.  Inside has an added border accent, Bracket Edge Duo by MFT.  Jute twine and Adhesive Rhinestone added to smaller tag for accents.  This was a FUN card to make.  I love the florals, I love the tags so combining 2 favorites, this stamp set is a Dynamic Duo for me!

In fact I had so much fun playing with the flowers I had to run out to my local nursery and buy some flowers.....6 flats to begin the planting.  I am soooo HAPPY!

May your day be HAPPY!

Enjoy~~

You Are Awesome!

Hello Again!

A short little post for a quick little card which will be entered into the Challenges at MFT Sketch and Simon Says Wednesday, Let's Get Sentimental.

I used the Simply Fabulous Sayings by MFT, stamping the word AWESOME all different ways down the flag banner.  I also split the 'you are' portion to complete my sentiment.  Designer Papers by Cloud 9, Wild Indigo.  I made 2 chipboard stars using the dies from the MFT set, Sun, Moon & Stars.  I cut 3 layers from very thick card stock and then topped them with the Designer Paper, colored edges with a Copic Marker.

Simple card with a BIG BOLD sentiment!  You Are Awesome!

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Watercolor Iris

Good Morning!  A little bit gloomy and rainy here.....perfect day for crafting!

Today's card will be entered into the Mod Squad Challenge, Watercolor Stamping, hosted by my dear friend Judy Woodland!  I actually made two cards.

I used the beautiful Iris image from Gina K Designs, Stately Flowers 8.  Such delicate detail.  I first colored my stamp with Watercolor Pencils and then spritzed with water.  Stamped the image onto watercolor paper and then colored the image a bit more with a water brush.  I am still not sure if it looks 'artsy' or messy.....maybe it will grow on me.  :)

I used the same steps in this card, but after it all dried I re-stamped the image using Dove Grey Ink.  I wanted the image more defined and I kind of like this look.

Corner Tab Punches and Ribbons added for accents.  That is all.  :)

Thanks so much for coming by, appreciate you doing so.

Enjoy~~

Good Afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Great Impressions, Celebrate Spring and Art Impressions, April Showers, Bring May Flowers.

I used the stamp, Flower Girl #G482 from Great Impressions, isn't she just the sweetest?  Listen carefully, I believe she is singing, tra la la la la.....exactly how I feel now that I can get back out in my gardens again!

Designer Papers by Echo Park, Victoria Gardens.  MFT Bracket Edge Duo die, I layered several cuts to make a chipboard style cut for top and bottom.  Tonic Corner Punch.  The flowers were made using a Martha Stewart Pop Up Hydrangea Punch (plus I finally watched a YouTube Video and actually know how it was intended to be used....just not here lol)

Image colored with Copic Markers as well as the Adhesive Pearls.  Sakura Glitter and Glaze Pens, Ribbon and eyelets for accents.

Love these bright sunshiny colors!

***spoiler alert***  last week I won the Curtain Call Bouquet Challenge!  Still waiting to hear back from Penny Black to see what I have won, I'll keep you posted.  Gotta love that Random Draw!  ;)

This stamp set is by Art Impressions, Retired (#1479).  How FUN!  I can only imagine what she is really saying....he, perhaps like any normal Hubby, is really asleep.  lol  The Designer Papers are from Teresa Collins, Fabrications.  The 3 background panels are framed in thin brown ribbon.  MFT dies, Blueprints #12 and Dotted Scallop Border.  Corner Tab Punch.

Images colored with Copic Markers.  Sakura Glitter and Glaze pens for accents.  Designer Brad.

I should have stamped the couple a bit closer as I had to make this a 5.5 x 5.5 size card.  Off to make the matching envelope!  :)

Designer Papers by Teresa Collins, World Traveler.  I really wanted to use kraft, white and green and I think they all go well together.  The small heart couple image was stamped in Wild Wasabi ink, which was stamped onto a Spellbinders Hearts die cut.  I also used dies by MFT, Open Bracket Border and Bracket Edge Duo.

Rhinestone Flourish and Ribbon for accents.  Sentiment stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.

Picture Perfect, Happy Birthday

Good Morning!  Just back from a lovely beach walk....I am so lucky!

Today's card was quite fun to make....well they all are!  lol

I used the digital stamp, Dancing Daffodils by Power Poppy.  I printed a few different sizes out a week or so ago, and let it dry forever.  Then cut some of the smaller flowers out.  I think they still smudged a bit when coloring with Copic Markers.  The Polaroid frame is a Cameo cut file.  Designer Papers by K & Company, Si Bon!  Papertrey Ink dies, Swoosh and Phrase Play #5, which I trimmed the 'happy' out of.  MFT Dotted Scallop Border die.

Liquid Pearls in Buttercup, Wink Of Stella (white--ordered the wrong one blah) and Swiss Dots Embossing folder.  The 'happy' was placed under a piece of Vellum and the 'birthday' was placed on top of it.

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Power Poppy, Cut It Out.
